Error description

  • After upgrade from 10.2.0 to Cognos 10.2.2/Cognos Analytics 11
    reports in Compatible Query Mode with page sets and master
    detail relationship show a performance decrease. The report
    never finishes, and huge vmm files are generated in the temp
    directory. Temp files were created in 10.2.0 as well, but not in
    this size.
    

Local fix

  • The behavior is triggered by the setup of the page set. The
    report page is located in the page group, but is not listed as
    detail page. If the report page is moved one level up, or one
    level down in the page set, the situation is not present.
