    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The Job Management Console panel display logic attempts to
    filter out operations so that only those users authorized to
    perform a given operation can see that option displayed in the
    web application. In the case where Application Security is
    disabled, we treat the userid as if it did not have
    authorization to submit jobs, and so the "submit jobs" option
    is not displayed.

Problem conclusion

  • The Job Management Console panel display logic has been
    updated to display the submit job option when General Server
    Security is enabled while Application security is disabled.

    This extends the general approach of simply bypassing any
    batch authorization checks when accessing job scheduler
    operations.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.14. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
