Error description

  • With APAR PI92503 applied, under some coding situations, the
    compiler may still give error:

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
When generating code for the INTEGER and INTEGER-PART intrinsic
functions, the compiler was attempting to create a result
temporary with a length of 0 because it was calculating the
size of the temporary based on the integer precision of the
argument to the intrinsic function, which was 0 in this case.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was updated to ensure that an integer precision of
at least one is used when creating the result temporary for the
    INTEGER and INTEGER-PART intrinsic functions.
