PI94674: UNABLE TO DISABLE WEB-BASED MODELING FOR DATA SERVER CONNECTIONS

Error description

• When creating a data source connection through the legacy UI
  (Cognos Administration -> Configuration tab -> Data Source
  Connections), you can choose to enable the data source for
  web-based modeling by checking the "Allow web-based modeling"
  check box in the properties.
  
  When a connection is created through the new UI (Manage -> Data
  Server Connections), it creates an entry in the legacy UI as
  well. If a user wants to disable the Data Server Connection for
  web-based modeling, they go to the properties of the data source
  in Cognos Administration and uncheck the "Allow web-based
  modeling" option. After doing this, if they check the properties
  of the same data server connection again, the "Allow web-based
  modeling" option is still checked. It appears that when a
  connection is created through the New UI, it's impossible to
  disable "Allow web-based modeling" even though the option is
  exposed.
  

Local fix

• Recreate data server connections through legacy UI (Cognos
  Administration -> Configuration tab -> Data source connections).
