Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
Customers using the SPE integration for acknowledgment
    reconciliation.

    Problem Description:
SPE Correlations are not persisted in the IBM Sterling B2B
Integrator database when the BP status is set to "ERROR".

    Platforms Affected:
    All

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:

When the BP status is set to error, any Correlations that are
returned from SPE are rolled-back. There are scenarios where a
customer may want to persist the Correlations returned by SPE
in spite of the overall ERROR status.

There may also be scenarios where a customer may want to commit
the SPE transaction in spite of the ERROR status.
    In the workFlow interface,
the commit/rollback behavior of the BP is controlled
using the context property "commitDespiteError". Added two BP
parameters to each of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
and "CommitSPEDespiteError". If "CommitDespiteError" is set to
"YES" then Correlations returned by SPE will still be
committed/persisted even if the BP status is set to ERROR.
Likewise, if "CommitSPEDespiteError" is set to YES, the SPE
transaction will still be committed even if the BP status is
    set to "ERROR".
