    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
After migrating to an affected release, the LDAP configuration
    in
security.xml contains only one <hosts> tag, where before there
    were
multiple. No errors will be reported, and login to the admin
console might even succeed, but the customer will notice the
failover configuration is missing upon inspecting the file.
This occurs because Migration contains a method to determine
whether two <hosts> entries are identical that always returns
    true.
So each successive entry is compared against the last, claims to
    be
the same entry, and replaces the former one. This collapses the
list down to just its last entry.

Problem conclusion

  • Migration was adjusted to compare the values of the attributes o
the <hosts> tag to determine whether they are identical. Non-
matching <hosts> are added to the hosts list in the new
    configuration without overwriting it.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 9.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.14. Please refer to the Recommended
