PI91568: "STREAM IS CLOSED" ERROR WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MERGE STREAMS USING RATIONAL SOFTWARE ARCHITECT DESIGNER 9.6.1

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You may encounter an error when attempting to merge streams that
  contain models (.emx) with conflicts using Rational Software
  Architect Designer 9.6.1 with Rational Team Concert Eclipse
  client 6.0.3.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  -------------------
  1. Create a new repository workspace from Stream A;
  2. In the pending changes view, right-click on the repository
  and select "Change Flow Target...";
  3. Select another stream (eg. Stream B) which contains the same
  files structure;
  4. Right-click on components and select "Accept";
  5. Once the changes have been accepted, expand the 'unresolved'
  folder. Right-click on the files that have conflicts and select
  Auto-resolve.
  
  Expected Results:
  ------------------
  The conflicts should be automatically resolved and streams
  merged successfully.
  
  Actual Results:
  ---------------
  An error 'Stream is closed' may occur.
  

Local fix

• There is no known workaround.  Please contact Rational Software
  Architect Designer Support for a test fix.

Problem conclusion

• The Stream is closed exception does not occur now when RTC
  streams are merged
