APAR status

Error description

  • After adjusting the row-height of a table in the documentation
field, a Birt report (Microsoft Word (DOC)) fails with "Report
generation Failed. Error happened while running the report"

'org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.api.EngineException: Failed to
initialize emitter.'

This is a defect in Eclipse/Birt.

Problem conclusion


    

  • After adjusting the row-height of a table in the documentation
field, a Birt report with target Microsoft Word (DOC) will no
longer produce an error. Row sizes computation and conversion
during reporting are now fixed
