PI83881: INCORRECT MATCH ON NOERROR STATEMENT FOR A JOB WHICH ABENDS ( S806 FOR EXAMPLE)

Error description

• With a NOERROR list including:
  NOERROR LIST(*.*.YES.0000.TO.4095,
            *.*.NO.0000.TO.4095,
            *.*.FROM.0000.TO.4095,
            *.*.FROM.S001.TO.S002,
            *.*.TO.0000.TO.4095)
  .
  and using a simple job to force an S806 abend:

  //FROM   EXEC PGM=IEFBR15

  an incorrect match is found for RC=0000 and the job which
  abended is marked complete:

  An ABEND S806 is incorrectly matched with a defined NOERROR
  statement like *.*.*.0000.TO.4000. The message EQQE031I is
  incorrectly issued and the operation status is incorrectly
  set to Complete.
  

Problem conclusion

• The check for inclusion within RANGE values was picking a wrong
  value for the match, under specific cases with ABEND codes.
