Error description

  • You use IBM Concurrent License manager version 9.1.0.0104  on
    RHEL Server 7.3. or Windows 2016 Server. You also have installed
    the WlmAdmin tool 9.7 for
    this version on a Windows machine to monitor the license usage.
    On this License manager many SPSS releases are served, for
    example licenses for SPSS versions 19,20,21,22,23 and 24.
    
    You also defined a certain amount of these network tokens
    available for commuter licenses.
    
    You notice however that per the same user multiple license token
    are shown as in use for commuter, which make the normal
    management of these license tokens difficult.
    Even if that particular user check-in the commuter license, only
    one license token will be released and the extra tokens keep
    remain holding until the check-out period expires.
    
    Also, on WLMadmin for some of the licenses therefore more
    commuter licenses are displayed as in use exceeding the number
    to defined total of available commuter licenses.
    
    This was reported to IBM SPSS Development for investigation.
    Please note however, that this issue issue is only a display
    issue on Wlmadmin tool. The usage log show correct numbers of
    usage. Only one token is actually checked out by the user and
    not multiple tokens. It does not affect commuter functionality
    for thre users who can check out and check in licenses normally.
    

Local fix

  • An Interim Fix has been delivered by the IBM SPSS Statistics
    development team to resolve this issue. Please contact IBM SPSS
    Technical Support and ask to be given permission to access this
    fix. Quote this APAR PI83801, about about Interim Fix 001
    for IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0, when raising the Service Request.
