    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Two problems are fixed by this apar: *
    *                      1.                                      *
    * an application depends externally on *
    * itself and it is triggered by an ETT *
    * job that specifies TYPRUN=HOLD in the *
    * job card. The ETT specifies ET=J, *
    *                      JR=Y, DR=Y, and HOLDJOB=USER is         *
    * specified in the EWTROPTS. *
    * Three ETT jobs are submitted and these *
    * add three occurrences of the *
    * application to the CP. In this *
    * scenario the first ETT job is *
    * released but the second one not. *
    *                      2.                                      *
    * an application has its own first *
    * operation as predecessor and two *
    * occurrences of this application are *
    * completed in the CP. When the third *
    * occurrence is added via ETT or MCP, *
    * with dependency resolution to Yes, *
    * this occurrence is set to Started *
    * but the second occurrence is wrongly *
    *                      set to W.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    This apar fixes two problems.
    - sometime a job with TYPRUN=HOLD is not released by IWS
    - the status of the first operation in an completed occurrence,
      with application dependency, is reset wrongly to W.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem was due to an incorrect set and a missing check.
