Error description

  • Dissimilar number of DB2 columns reported for a COBOL program
when comparing analysis results for the proprietary and
compiler-based scanners.

Local fix

  • None Known

Problem summary

  • The compiler-based scanner reported fewer DB2 columns than the
proprietary scanner for the same number of DB2 table
assets/references.

Problem conclusion

  • Prior resolution approach in the compiler-based scanner could
drop DB2 columns if a DECLARE TABLE was being processed, for
example, causing the column count and table/column
relationships to be misrepresented. Code has been changed to be
properly identify and tally the columns.
