Error description

  • "Cannot write config file" is displayed when trying to save
and exit from the DMHINSTL Set up panel.

Problem summary

  • When a user who is not the owner of the RAA USS
files/directories (and does not have root authority), the
DMHINSTL Set up
option changes cannot be saved, even if the user has group
access to the files/directories and the group has write access.
  The
message "Cannot write config file" is displayed when trying to
save the changes.

Problem conclusion

  • Updated the DMHINSTL Set up option to no longer change the
permission of existing directories.  The Installation Guide has
been updated with optional instructions for authorizing
additional installers.   The instructions involve adding the
RAA installer
group to the access control lists for configuration
files/directories so that other installers have full
permissions.
