  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Change the default Character set ISO8859-1 to UTF-8. Modify
    CSSMTP,REFRESH command processed correctly.
    Modify CSSMTP,DISPLAY,CONFIG showed that the correct character
    set default was in place. But it did not use the correct
    character set.
    Additional symptoms:
    Invalid mlMEcbPtr array.
    Abended in mlMsgGetEcb subroutine in ezamlmsg due to invalid
    ecbIndex.

    * connections after a Modify CSSMTP,REFRESH. The updated       *
    * character set shows correctly in displays, but the previous  *
    * character set continues to be used.                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * Apply the PTF                                                *
    ****************************************************************
    The updated character set is not being used on existing
    connections. New connections correctly use the updated character
    set.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CSSMTP has been corrected to use the new character set after a
    Modify CSSMTP,REFRESH.
