    ****************************************************************
Message WSVR0655I may appear in the system log whenever
Dynamic Reloading and Hot Deployment is enabled on the
application server. The server polls for application
artifacts that changed over the specified interval,
which defaults to three (3) seconds. When the server detects
a change, it emits message WSVR0655I to identify the
artifact and then restarts either the WAR module (WSVR0653I)
or application (WSVR0654I) that contains the artifact.
When developing applications using WebSphere Application Server
Developer Tools (WDT), a user may start an application server
in Debug mode. This will cause the application server to not
restart (reload) WAR modules or applications whenever Dynamic
Reloading and Hot Deployment is also enabled on the server.
However, the server will unexpectedly poll for changes
to application artifacts and will emit emit message WSVR0655I
on every interval upon detecting a change.
APAR PI80620 will resolve this inconsistency by disabling
Dynamic Reloading and Hot Deployment on the target application
server whenever WDT launches a server in Debug mode.

Problem conclusion

  • Apply APAR PI80620 to disable Dynamic Reloading and Hot
Deployment from polling for application changes whenever
WDT launches an application server in Debug mode, which will
cause the server to stop emitting message WSVR0655I in this
    use-case.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 9.0.0.5 and 8.5.5.13. Please refer to the
