  During IFI 306 READS request, when DB2 Data Manager (DM)
  encountered log record for compressed object and user specifies
  an option to return the log record in decompressed format, DM
  log read service routine will identify and load, if necessary,
  the expansion dictionary. Some of the (control) information
  associated with expansion dictionary is kept in Page Set Cursor
  Block (PSCB). Currently, DM log read logic searches PSCB twice,
  if the log record contains compressed data. This search logic
  increases considerable amount of CPU time. This APAR will
  improved the DM read logic such that it will only locate
  PSCB once (instead of twice) to gather all the necessary
  information needed to identify and load the correct version of
  expansion dictionary to be used for decompressing log data.
  

Problem conclusion

• IFCID 306 read logic is modified to reduce overhead in
  dictionary search routine.
