  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If an ARCHIVE LOG command is issued while the queue manager is
running in single log mode (after CSQJ004I) then the end RBA of
the current 'out of action' active log in the chain is updated
incorrectly, which then results in CSQJ106E with STATUS
00140408 if the log is later read by MQ.
A CSQJ111A message indicating that the queue manager has run
out of active log space following the CSQJ106E may be resolved
    by APAR PI75471.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
A queue manager has switched to running in single log copy mode
when an ARCHIVE LOG command is issued. The end RBA of the
inactive dataset is incorrectly set to the highest RBA written.
During offload process, an attempt is made to read beyond the
end of the data written to the inactive log dataset, which
results in error message CSQJ106E with status 00140408 being
    issued.

Problem conclusion

  • The OFFLOAD LOG task has been changed to check if a log dataset
is inactive to skip trying to incorrectly read from this
    dataset.
