  • ABEND0C4 RC38 in DSNX8LLM.DSNX8STA+0A42 may occur when starting
an accelerator if PI75073 (UI45075/UI45076) is applied.

ABEND0C4 00000038 DSNX8LLM.DSNX8STA+09FE or +0A42 may occur on
an accelerator enabled system for DB2 10 for z/OS or DB2 11 for
z/OS with ZPARM ACCELERATION STARTUP field set to AUTO.
When DSNACCEL.SYSACCEL table space is in GRECP state and becomes
an unavailable resource, error message DSNX890I for resource
unavailable will be issued instead of an abend.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 is modified to issue error message DSNX890I instead of an
abend when DSNACCEL.SYSACCEL table space is in GRECP state and
becomes an unavailable resource.
