  • Advisor failures occur because reach advisor fails due to
    incorrect timeout values.

    The hosts must have a positive reach load before the advisor
    will send a specific advisor request. The reach load is
    determined by a simple ping and the ping advisor would only
    wait 256ms for a response.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Corrected the code to wait up to 3 seconds for a ping response
    (this corresponds to the legacy reach advisor code).
    
    Fix is incorporated in 7.0.0.43, 8.0.0.14, 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.4
