    A multiplexed svrconn channel was running, and the receive
    thread was waiting for data to arrive across the channel using
    asynchronous io. When the queue manager was stopped CSQXDSPT was
    called to post any outstanding MQXWAIT calls - this caused the
    receive thread to be resumed and return from CSQXADPO with
    RC=00000006 (MQEC_CONNECTION_QUIESCING). However the
    asynchronous io request was still outstanding - when this
    completed it attempted to post the specified ECB, however this
    was located using a pointer in CSQXADPO's working storage, which
    had been freed/reused, resulting in the EC6 abend occurring.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQXADPO has been changed to cancel the outstanding receive
    request before exiting, when posted with
    MQEC_CONNECTION_QUIESCING.
