**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM Caching Proxy on AIX * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IBM Caching Proxy on AIX fails to * * load a module with an error code of 2. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Module loading can fail in IBM Caching Proxy on AIX with an error code of 2 even though when the module exists and is discoverable. The error message that is written to the error log is: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
Problem conclusion
IBM Caching Proxy was modified to use a different method of loading modules on AIX. Note: To use the old module loading system, the environment variable "CP_USE_LOADANDINIT" should be set to any value prior to launching IBM Caching Proxy. The fix will be included in IBM Caching Proxy fixpacks: - 9.0.0.4 - 8.5.5.12 - 8.0.0.14
