PI75218: CANNOT OPEN REPORT WHEN COGNOS ANALYTICS IS ACCESSED THROUGH PORTAL

Error description

  • Customer launches Cognos Analytics through portal with a
    hyperlink for gateway with TARGET="_blank" attribute like;
        <a href="http://server/ibmcognos/bi/"
    TARGET="_blank">http://server/ibmcognos/bi/ - other window</a>
    Clicking the link opens Cognos Analytics on another tab but
    selecting a report in public folder does not open a report.
    Nothing happens and it remains on welcome page.
    Once it occurred, all menus on welcome page does not work
    anymore until reloading.
    

Local fix

  • Issue can not be recreated  without  TARGET="_blank" attribute.
