PI75212: DURING AUTOBIND USING QUERYACCELERATION (ENABLE) BIND OPTION, STATIC QUERY IS BOUND FOR ACCELERATION UNEXPECTEDLY

Error description

• During AUTOBIND for a package bound QUERYACCELERATION(ENABLE),
  DB2 unexpectedly selects an IDAA access path and binds the query
  for acceleration. Whereas for an explicit BIND or REBIND of
  that package with QUERYACCELERATION (ENABLE), DB2 correctly
  selects non-IDAA access path and binds the query to
  run only in DB2z.

Local fix

• Issue REBIND PACKAGE to restore the non-IDAA access path for
  the static query.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During automatic rebind                 *

  *                      bound with QUERYACCELERATION            *
  *                      (ENABLE), DB2 unexpectedly              *
  *                      selects an IDAA access path             *
  *                      and binds the query for                 *
  *                      acceleration. However, for an           *
  *                      explicit Bind or Rebind of              *
  *                      that package with                       *
  *                      QUERYACCELERATION(ENABLE),              *
  *                      DB2 correctly selects                   *
  *                      non-acceleration access path            *
  *                      and binds the query to only             *
  *                      run in DB2.                             *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  DB2 did not make the correct evaluation during Autobind
  of queries in package bound with QUERYACCELERATION
  (ENABLE) causing the statements to be unexpectedly
  bound to execute in accelerator.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 code is modified so that during Autobind, queries in
  package bound with QUERYACCELERATION(ENABLE) and
  QUERYACCELERATION(ENABLEWITHFAILBACK) are evaluated
  correctly.
