**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All DB2 11 for z/OS utility users of the * * LOAD and REORG utilities * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Enable the DB2 LOAD and REORG utilities * * to offload some RELOAD phase processing * * to a System z Integrated Information * * Processor (zIIP). * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The PTF for PI73882 enables zIIP offload of some of the processing during the RELOAD phase of the LOAD and REORG utilities. If one or more zIIPs are installed, this will reduce CPU time during that phase.
