Error description

  • Ø
    install fails with:
    CRIMA1076E ERROR: Error during "post-install configure" phase:

    CRIMA1076E ERROR: Error executing the
    /usr/lpp/zWebSphere_Plugins/V8R5/bin/postinst.sh command:
    status=1.

    native log shows:
    Starting /usr/lpp/zWebSphere_Plugins/V8R5/bin/postinst.sh
    processing...
    chmod -hR u+rwx,g+rx,o+rx
    /usr/lpp/zWebSphere_Plugins/V8R5
      ** Could not set attributes for ihs390WASPlugin_http.so:
        set_attributes.sh exit attributes for
    ihs390WASPlugin_http.so:
    set_attributes.sh exited with status=1
      ** set_attributes.sh failed with return code 1

    This check in set_attributes.sh is failing:
    ls -E ihs390WASPlugin_http.so | grep " .rwxr.xr.x  .ps"

    In this case, customer uses ACL (access control list), which
    causes
    a + to be added after the permissions, an example being:
    ls -l file
    -rwxrwxrw-+       WELLIE         SYS 167 Jan 11 09:54 file

    The set_attributes.sh needs to be updated to take the + into
    account when ACL is used.

Local fix

  • Ø
    Remove ACL for the Plugins directory and files and re-run the
    install

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: set_attributes.sh script fails when *
    * ACL is set on files. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When the ACL is set file permissions have an extra + at the
    end, which causes the set_attributes.sh script to fail.
