Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * All CICSPlex SM V5R3M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * For most of the WUI views, you are able to use CONTEXT, * * SCOPE, as well as other filters to reduce the number of * * instances obtained for a chosen resource table. * * * * However, the SCOPE filter is not supported for the following * * two resource tables: * * * * - WLMAWAOR: Target region in active workload * * * * - WLMAWTOR: Active workload routing regions * * * * In addition, the SCOPE filter may be specified for the * * WLMAROUT resource table, but it was not being honored. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * After applying the PTF that resolves this APAR, all CMASes * * must be restarted. Note that the restarts do not need to * * occur at the same time. * * * * After applying the PTF that resolves this APAR, the view set * * must be imported into the WUI server repository in order to * * pick up the changes. * * * * The view set can be imported via the AUTOIMPORTDSN and * * AUTOIMPORTMEM WUI server initialization parameters or the * * IMPORT (from a dataset) function of the COVC WUI control * * transaction. * * * * If COVC is used to import the view set insure that the TYPE * * operand is set to ALL or VIEWSET and that the Import option * * is set to OVERWRITE. * * * * For details on the AUTOIMPORTDSN and AUTOIMPORTMEM WUI * * server initialization parameters see 'Specify the Web User * * Interface server initialization parameters' in the "CICS * * Transaction Server for z/OS Version 5 Release 3 Installation * * Guide" (GC34-7414-00). * * * * For details on the COVC IMPORT function see 'The CICSPlex SM * * Web User Interface transaction (COVC)' in the "CICS * * Transaction Server for z/OS Version 5 Release 3 CICSPlex SM * * Web User Interface Guide" (SC34-7451-00). * * * * The updated starter set objects that need to be imported are * * named: * * * * EYUSTARTWLMAWAOR - EYUxA1X0 * * EYUSTARTWLMAWTOR - EYUxA1X1 * * EYUSTARTWLMAWORK - EYUxA1WZ * * * * Replace x with the required language version to be imported: * * * * E - English, K - Japanese, S - Chinese * * * * Insure that the import references the SEYUVIEW dataset that * * was updated by the PTF that resolves this APAR. * **************************************************************** When you open or refresh the WUI view (EYUSTARTWLMAWAOR) for resource table (WLMAWAOR), method WABA (EYU0WABA - Browse Active AORs in WorkLoad) is driven to obtain all the information related to active target regions within the CICSplex. As part of WABA MAL (Method Argument List), various type of filters are passed to WABA to reduce the number of instances obtained. However, unlike other resource tables, the SCOPE value is not passed. As a result, all matching active target regions within the CICSplex are returned. The similar issue also applies to resource table WLMAWATOR, view EYUSTARTWLMAWTOR and its method WABT (EYU0WABT - Browse Active TORs in WorkLoad). Additionally, the SCOPE filter may be specified for resource table WLMAROUT, and it is passed to its method WABU (EYU0WABU - Browse Active Routers) as part of WABU MAL. However, it was not being honored properly.
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
