  *                 ACCESS DATABASE command, specifying ranges   *
  *                 on the PART keyword.                         *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The syntax checking for ranges within   *
  *                      the PART keyword doesn't detect all     *
  *                      combinations of malformed range         *
  *                      specifications. Especially open         *
  *                      intervals (only the lower or            *
  *                      upper end of a range is specified but   *
  *                      not both ends) are not detected,        *
  *                      leading to unexpected behavior when     *
  *                      executing the command.                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The validation of the PART keyword values is incomplete, not
  detecting some invalid range specifications. This affects the
  syntax checking for DISPLAY, START, STOP and ACCESS DATABASE
  commands.
  

Problem conclusion

• The syntax verification is improved, detecting these kind of
  malformed range specifications for the PART keyword. These
  syntax errors now lead to a new DSNT325I message, indicating
  that the user has to correct the range specification.
