PI69101: WMQ Z/OS V8:INCORRECT OUTPUT FROM DISPLAY CLUSQMGR FOR THE LOCAL QUEUE MANAGER 16/10/12 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The results from the DISPLAY CLUSQMGR are not correct for the
  local queue- manager (i.e. when DEFTYPE is CLUSRCVR).
  For example:
  DIS CLUSQMGR displays INACTIVE while DIS CHSTATUS displays
  RUNNING for CLUSRCVR.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On z/OS, the output of the command      *
  *                      "DIS CLUSQMGR" always displays INACTIVE *
  *                      STATUS for DEFTYPE CLUSRCVR.            *

  PI41261 allowed STATUS to be displayed for channel type CLUSRCVR
  when the DIS CLUSQMGR command is entered.
  However, rfxCLUSTER_Q_MGR.Channelstate which is used by CSQM1DCL
  for the channel status is always going to be 0 as it never gets
  set for the local qmgr. Hence the DISPLAY CLUSQMGR command
  always gives 'STATUS(INACTIVE)'.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been changed to prevent the STATUS being reported for
  channel DEFTYPE CLUSRCVR, when issuing the DIS CLUSQMGR command.
