Error description
In Rational Developer for z Systems v9.5, in the Host Connection Emulator with SSL enabled, the CA Certificate file with .jks extension is not allowed. You can verify it by selecting the Browse button of the CA Certificate file. It does not have *.jks in the list of allowed file extensions. The same problem exists in RDz versions 9.1+, 9.5.1, and 9.5.1.1.
Local fix
Problem summary
The the Host Connection Emulator preferences tab, a user is not able to specify a file with the .jks extension. Also, the support for JKS keystore needs to be added.
Problem conclusion
The Host Connect Emulator code had been changed to provide support for the JKS keystore and for specifying files with .jks extension. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.2 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
