Error description

  • Ø
The failing instruction for the ABENDS0C4 PIC10 is 4430 C1E6.
The problem is that the PSW is in KEY7, but Reg12, which points
    to CSQMNCPY+0 is in KEY0.

The ABEND0C4 occurs in CSQMNCPY when MQOO_RESOLVE_LOCAL_Q/TOPIC
is specified when opening a topic object. CSQMTOPN locates the
address of the name of the topic object, which is in 64-bit
storage, but it only passes a 31-bit address (i.e. low word) to
CSQMNCPY for copying the name of the object back to the MQOD.

    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s):
ABEND5C6 5C6 00E7014F in CSQXADPM may be a secondary symptom
    after the ABEND0C4.

    ****************************************************************
When CSQMTOPN is processing MQOPEN with MQOO_RESOLVE_LOCAL_Q or
    MQOO_RESOLVE_LOCAL_TOPIC option,
it passes only half of the 64bit address of the source field
containing the name of the administrative topic object, to be
copied to MQOD.ResolvedQName by routine CSQMNCPY.
This results in incorrect data in the target ResolveQName field,
or an 0C4 abend is generated if the source address points to
    storage that cannot be accessed.

Problem conclusion

  • Unnecessary code that calls CSQMNCPY has been removed from
CSQMTOPN and CSQMOPNI has been changed to return the correct
    value in MQOD.ResolvedQName.
