PI65250: WMQ OUTPUT FROM THE CSQ4SMFD RETURNS VALUES THAT ARE NOT IN THE VALID DATE RANGE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When formatting SMF 115 and 116 records using the MQ sample
  CSQ4SMFD the output from this job may return date values not
  within a valid range. Change team finds an invalid date/time
  value will be returned when the time being formatted has not
  been set (for example re: the field QCTLSTM ) yet because there
  have been no requests within the current SMF interval. Review
  of the hex print in this output (just prior to the formatted
  section) will show that the time value at offset x20 is set
  to all zero values.

  When a "null" or zero date is found in SMF data, the internal
  CSQ4CONV date formatter routine used by CSQ4SMFD may format the
  date incorrectly. The date may be shown as the year 1900 or 2042
  depending on timezone settings.
  

Problem conclusion

• Processing has been amended to display "null" dates as all
  zeroes. The date formatting is maintained for consistency.
