Error description

  • (1)
    When message
    EQQW756E
THE STARTED TASK FILE, DDNAME = EQQSTC, IS NOT EMPTY
is received you need to verify that the EQQSTC dataset is empty.
The suggested recovery procedure is to verify that the EQQSTC
dataset is empty. If not it has to be cleared.
Then the TWSz tasks need to be resterted. This action is not
mentioned in the 'System Programmer Response' of Message and
    Code Manual.
    (2)
The "PS" ( Permanent Storage ) subparameter of
CPBPLIM which was added by APAR
     PM12394 was never documented
    .
    (3)
Change in "Migrating data sets" paragraph, section
"EQQICTOP VSAM data set conversion program Purpose"
in the Installation and Customization manual.
Integrate "Note 3" with the currently present sentence:
"You can convert the current plan extension data set using the
    same methods."
by adding a clarification about the CX and NCX datasets:
"If the EQQCPIN DD in the EQQICNVS database conversion program
    points to
the 'old' EQQNCPDS, then the EQQCXIN DD must point to the 'old'
    EQQNCXDS.
    .
If the EQQCPIN DD in the EQQICNVS JCL points to the 'old'
    EQQCP1DS or
EQQCP2DS, then the EQQCXIN DD must point to the 'old' EQQCXDS.
This is mainly needed in case the last replan before shoutdown
    has not been performed.
    .
In all cases, the EQQICNVS EQQCPOUT DD must point to the 'new'
    EQQNCPDS,
and the EQQCXOUT must point to the 'new' EQQNCXDS. "
    .
    (4) In Managing the Workload, chapter "Defining
Applications in batch" a clarification is needed
for the SUBSYS parameter under the OPTIONS statement.
    .
Currently there is a note which says:
Note: Do not use the data sets defined by EQQADDS and EQQOIDS
    if
they are allocated to an active subsystem. Otherwise, an error
    message
is issued and batch-loader processing ends.
    .
    This should be changed to:
Note: Do not use the data sets defined by EQQADDS and
EQQOIDS if they are allocated to an active subsystem.
Otherwise, the file(s) may become corrupted.
    .
    (5) The SYSIN for EQQYCAIN ( BCIT ) must be
RECFM=FB LRECL=80 if the SYSIN is a dataset
rather than instream (//SYSIN DD *). This
should be documented in the Driving Tivoli
Workload Scheduler for z/OS manual, in
chapter 3 (Batch command interface tool)
in section "Inut to batch command
    interface". After the sentence:
"A set of actions, called a program, is
specified in a file SYSIN referenced by
the DD card: //SYSIN DD." add this
    sentence:
    .
Note: If the SYSIN DD is for a DASD
file (rather than //SYSIN DD * ) that
file must be defined with RECFM=FB
    and LRECL=80.

    (1)
When the EQQW756E message is received, the suggested
recovery procedure is to verify that the EQQSTC data
set is empty. If not it has to be cleared.
The System Programmer Response of the message, in the
Messages and Codes manual, is missing the info that the
Controller and Tracker tasks need to be cycled after
    the action has been performed.
    (2)
CPBPLIM allows to choose which percentage of the available
storage can be used to allocate the LSR buffers. The buffer
pool is deallocated and then allocated again, any time
the current plan is closed (i.e. at any backup and at
    each new current plan generation).
The "PS" ( Permanent Storage ) subparameter of CPBPLIM
added by APAR PM12304, to make the pool allocation permanent
in storage, needs to be documented.
    (3)
When performing a migration, the use of CP or NCP as input
datasets for the conversion program depends on the last
action performed (wether running a CP extend or a replan).
The same needs to be explained for the Current Plan Extension
data sets CX and NCX migration.
    (4)
In the "Managing Workload" manual, the note related to the
using, by the Bath Loader, of the data sets EQQADDS and
EQQOIDS when they are allocated to an active subsystem has to
    be changed.
    (5)
The SYSIN for EQQYCAIN ( BCIT ) must be
RECFM=FB LRECL=80 if the SYSIN is a dataset
rather than instream (//SYSIN DD *).
    This needs to be documented
