APAR status

Error description

  • When running the File Manager Find/Change (FCH) utility with
option DIRINTEGR=YES, corrupt data is displayed in the
Find/Change Utility Listing.  Input to FCH included concatenated
datasets which include member names of the same name.

Local fix

  • Use option DIRINTEGR=NO

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: File Manager Find/Change (FCH) users.        *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When concatenated PDS or PDSE data sets *
*                      are the input for the Find/Change, FCH  *
*                      attempts to process all members of each *
*                      data set in the concatenation. However, *
*                      when DIRINTEGR=YES is specified and a   *
*                      member in one of the data sets is not   *
*                      the first member with that name in the  *
*                      concatenation, FCH reprocesses the      *
*                      first member in the concatenation. So   *
*                      some members are processed multiple     *
*                      times and other members are not         *
*                      processed at all.                       *

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager has been modified to correct this problem.
