APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • hwkeytool -genseckey -existinglabel sometimes fails because
keysize is needed. But hwkeytool -genseckey -existinglabel
-keysize fails because -keysize is not allowed with
    -existinglabel

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If hwkeytool -genseckey -existinglabel is used with key
algorithm that IBMJCECCA does not support in the CKDS the user
gets an error that keysize is required. If -keysize is added,
the user gets an error that keysize is not allowed with
    -existinglabel

Problem conclusion

  • Update hwkeytool so that a keyalg not supported for
    -existinglabel gets appropriate error message.
