    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a view is defined with a DATE/TIME CONSTANT FORMAT (ISO,
    JIS etc.) and the view is referenced by a query to be offloaded,
    incorrect output or other accelerator errors might occur due to
    an improperly converted query sent to the accelerator.
    For example: CREATE VIEW V1(C1) AS
                 SELECT CHAR(T1.DateCol, ISO)
                 FROM T1;

                 SET CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION = ALL;
                 SELECT * FROM V1 FOR FETCH ONLY;

    Keywords:
    IDAAV4R1/K IDAAV5R1/K SQLVIEW SQLDATE SQLTIME

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR fixes a query conversion problem when the query is
    offloaded to an accelerator. The failing offloaded query
    references a view with a DATA/TIME CONSTANT FORMAT
    (ISO,JIS,etc.).
