Error description

• Messages:
  RC=8 TYPE=COBOL AES1005E Found unsupported syntax : in line 29
  in copy/include file 'XXXXXX'.
  
  RC=8 TYPE=COBOL AES1017E Found unsupported syntax in file XXXXXX
  referred in line 1359 in source file.
  
  
  The syntax that is common among all source programs in
  error is the REPLACING phrase of the COPY statement that uses 3
  semicolons (:::) as the text to be replaced.
  
  Example:
  
  COPY XXXXXX REPLACING ==:::== BY ==ABC==.
  
  The included copybook will have 3 semicolons at the beginning
  of a
  group level item name, like below:
  
   01  :::-SAMPLE-MASTER-RECORD.
  
  Other programs using the REPLACING phrase with replace values
  other
  than the 3 semicolons will scan to completion with no errors.
  Below is
  an example of a replacing phrase with no errors:
  
  COPY YYYYYY REPLACING ==:TAG:== BY ==XYZ==
  
  The copybooks will have the 3 semicolons at beginning of the
  group level and elementary item names in the record layout.
  All copybooks scan with no errors are marked with a complete
  status.
  

Local fix

• Using Enterprise Compiler-based scanner instead of Proprietary
  scanner may resolve the issue.
  

Problem summary

• RAA Proprietary scanner was incorrectly handling COPY/REPLACING
  syntax with three colons.
  

Problem conclusion

• Proprietary scanner code was changed to correctly parse and
  handle the three colon syntax.
