  • Attempting to view or edit a CICS transient Data queue and it
fails with message "Resource not enabled" even though the queue
is enabled

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: For CICS 5.2 and above regions:         *
*                      1. When an intra TD queue is specified  *
*                         in the 'List Resources' it will not  *
*                         be displayed.                        *
*                      2. When an intra TD queue is specified  *
*                         in edit msgFMNBB173 'Resource not    *
*                         enabled' is issued even though the   *
*                         resource is enabled.                 *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

File Manager is getting an internal CICS abend which is being
handled, however this results in the above behaviour.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • File Manager was modified to resolve these issues with CICS 5.2
and above regions.
