PI46682: WMQ ABEND 6C6 REASON 00E50070 IN LOGREC AT QUEUE MANAGER SHUTDOWN

• Abend 6c6 with Reason 00E50070 is reported in logrec during
  queue manager shutdown for the queue manager's DB2 BLOB
  server TCBs (DB2SRVxx).

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After DB2 command -CANCEL THREAD is     *
  *                      issued to cancel a thread associated to *
  *                      a MQ DB2 service task, abend            *
  *                      6C6-00E50070 is generated without dump. *
  *                      The abend is recorded in LOGREC when    *
  *                      the queue manager is stopped.           *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  During queue manager shutdown when DB2 service tasks are stopped
  there are unexpected reason codes received after the task is
  disconnected from DB2 indicating that the thread has already
  been disconnected by DB2 "-CANCEL THREAD" command. MQ does not
  handle this condition and does not set the state of the service
  task as disconnected causing abend 6C6-00E50070 when the service
  task is forced to terminate instead of a normal shutdown.
  

Problem conclusion

• MQ DB2 service tasks are set with the correct disconnected state
  when they have been cancelled by DB2 commands.
