Error description
This problem may also manifest itself as a DFHSM0002 Severe Error code x'30D'. It can be preceded by multiple application abends just prior to the issue. The AICJ abends and the DFHSM0002 dump are a result of recurring QPF cell corruption, where the second digit of the QPF has been altered so that the full address doesn't point back to the SCA. In the trace you see the entry pointing to the invalid QPF: SM 030D SMGF *EXC* Quickcell_getmain_invalid_QPF The QPF is invalid due to CICS thinking that it is incrementing the storage violation count in a TCTTE when the task is actually a non-terminal task (thus it would not have a TCTTE). Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): SM0002, DFHTFIQ, ICE KIXREVEPH

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message "DFHPG0001 An abend (code * * 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset * * X'8C40' in module DFHPGCR." is issued * * due to corruption of a QPF. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** DFHSMAR detects a storage violation in a task that was attached by an EXEC CICS START with no TERMID specified and issues message DFHSM0102 to report this. During the processing of the DFHSM0102 message DFHTFIQ is called for SET_TERMINAL_FACILITY to increment the storage violation count (TCTTESCV) in the TCTTE. There is no terminal for this transaction and the facility address points to an ICE control block. This is shorter than a TCTTE and the offset of field TCTTESCV is beyond the end of the ICE, so the storage following is corrupted. In this case the storage beyond the ICE contains a QPF (quickcell page free element) and the corruption results in an abend 0C4 in module DFHPGCR when CICS attempts to use the QPF. Problem conclusion
DFHTFIQ has been altered so if the facility type is an ICE (START without a terminal) or if there is no facility then it will return an EXCEPTION response with a reason of NO_TERMINAL and will not attempt to update the storage violation count in the tctte.
