PI44017: FM VARYING LENGTH FIELDS CORRUPT REPORT USING COMPARE UTILITY (DSM)

Error description

• When using File Manger (FM) Compare, if you specify using a
  dynamic XML template a length=* parameter for variable blocked
  files, then FM will only display the changed record.

  *                      There is no way to ignore trailing      *

  *                      can corrupt the compare report.         *

Problem conclusion

• File Manager has been changed as follows.
  1. If the PAD option is on then trailing pad characters will
  not participate in the compare operation.
  2. Compare reporting of varying length fields has been fixed
  to show the maximum field length processed.
