Error description
During the admin agent start up process, it checks if there are any DataFlowEngine processes that remain after the broker was previously shutdown. If it does find any such processes, it sends a sigkill signal to end them. It does not check what these processes are and assumes that they are DataFlowEngine processes. Though very unlikely, it may be possible that the restarted admin agent has been assigned a Process ID (PID) that previously belonged to a DataFlowEngine process and this remains in the data store that is checked by the admin agent. Consequently, the admin agent may send a sigkill signal for the same PID that it is itself assigned, thereby resulting in the EC6-FF09 abend in the broker address space.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. Problem conclusion
Before killing any processes whose PID remains in the data store after the admin agent has ended, the product now checks the process to confirm it is of the expected type and is owned by the broker before it is killed. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v7.0 7.0.0.8 v8.0 8.0.0.7 v9.0 9.0.0.6 v10.0 10.0.0.4 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006041 If the maintenance level is not yet available, information on its planned availability can be found on: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006308 ---------------------------------------------------------------
