PI41579: FILE MANAGER DOESN'T CARRY EXPIRATION DATE OVER FROM 'MODEL' INFORMATION DURING TEMPLATE LIBRARY ALLOCATION

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When you attempt to export a Template from File Manager and the
  target dataset doesn't yet exist, File Manager will bring up a
  screen to allocate the Export destination and will
  automatically fill in 'model' information based on the Template
  dataset you're exporting from.  Although this information
  includes the Expiration Date for the template dataset, after
  allocation the newly-created Export dataset doesn't include the
  Expiration Date.
  

Local fix

• Pre-allocate the Export dataset and specify the desired
  Expiration Date.
