Error description

  • After migrating to new release of MQ, an invalid
DefPutResponse field in clustered qmgr aliases
was noticed. The invalid DefPutResponse field
    only affects clustered qmgr aliases.
No impact unless you are using DEFPRESP value for
    the cluster queues.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
After migration from a version 6 queue manager, the
DefPutResponse field that can be seen when dumps of the queue
manager and channel initiator are formatted. This incorrect
value takes the form 16448 or x'4040', which is invalid for this
field. This incorrect value can then be propagated throughout
the cluster as can be seen in the cluster cache.

However this problem can only be confirmed in formatted dumps of
the address spaces and may cause message CSQX407I to be
    produced.

Problem conclusion

  • The processing for the location representation of these objects,
has been updated to correct these values, also the clustering
processing has been updated to ensure these incorrect values are
    not propagated through the cluster.
