Error description

  • A hang during shutdown and restart is observed in the admin
agent if the queue manager is shutdown before any execution
groups have received and processed their startup messages. This
hang does not occur if the queue manager is cancelled/terminates
abnormally or if the execution groups have already processed
    their startup messages.

The admin agent should not hang but should restart and then wait
for the queue manager to restart before restart any execution
    groups.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A hang during shutdown and restart is observed in the admin
agent if the queue manager is shutdown before any execution
groups have received and processed their startup messages. This
hang does not occur if the queue manager is cancelled/terminates
abnormally or if the execution groups have already processed
their startup messages. The hang occurs because the Admin Agent
waits for the execution groups to end, but has never signalled
    them to terminate.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been modified so that the Admin Agent will
always send a signal to terminate the execution groups in this
scenario and so can wait successfully for them to terminate
    before restarting.
