APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using the global cache, there are times when a catalog
server is forced to stop. For example, as a result of a network
    partition condition.

If this occurs, it is possible for one of the WebSphere eXtreme
Scale threads to keep running in a tight loop, using a large
amount of CPU until the execution group is stopped.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now contains a version of WebSphere eXtreme Scale
where the looping thread is destroyed rather than allowed to
    continue looping infinitely.
