  when parallelism is enabled .

• Disable parallelism  eg. SET CURRENT DEGREE = '1'.

  *                      ALL/EXCEPT/EXCEPT ALL legs in the       *
  *                      query) runs on high degree of           *
  *                      parallelism.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  An ABEND04E RC00E2000C at DSNXECT.DSNSVSVB +0AB6 OFFSET0AB6 when
  a very complex query (more than 10 combined UNION/UNION ALL/
  INTERSECT/INTERSECT ALL/EXCEPT/EXCEPT ALL legs in the query)
  runs on high degree of parallelism.
  
  When a DB2 system executing such high degree of parallelism for
  each UNION/UNION ALL/INTERSECT/INTERSECT ALL/EXCEPT/EXCEPT ALL
  leg, eventually, those parallel child tasks consume all the
  available system storage/memory before the complex query
  finishes and forces the storage manager abends when no more
  physical storage/memory is available to keep up with the demand.
  
  There may be other failing symptoms at different locations.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been modified to reduce the number of parallel child
  tasks for every parallel group when such complex query is
  detected to reduce the system storage/memory usage.
