Data Group (GDG) file on z/OS.

    2) Users of WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer V7.5.0.2 or

    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When a new transfer request was submitted to transfer a relative
Generation Data Group (GDG) file on z/OS, the name of the source
file was interpreted as the relative GDG name (for example
FILE.NAME(0) ) instead of the absolute GDG name (e.g.
    FILE.NAME.G0001V00).

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition and Managed File Transfer
agent has been modified to use an absolute filename (e.g.
FILE.NAME.G0001V00) instead of the relative name (e.g.
FILE.NAME(0)) when transferring data from a GDG file on z/OS.
