    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the fixing PTF for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
DSNTXAZP is a program that can be used to refresh a DB2 CLIST
input (DSNTIDxx) member with DB2's current subsystem parameter,
DSNHDECP parameter, and buffer pool settings.

Most DSNTIDxx entries have the following format:
NAME + TYPE + DS SCOPE + MIN VALUE + MAX VALUE + SETTING

Currently, DSNTXAZP assigns an incorrect MAX VALUE for the
SIMULATED_CPU_COUNT and SIMULATED_CPU_SPEED entries in DSNTIDxx:
     * For SIMULATED_CPU_COUNT, the correct MAX VALUE is NONE but
       DSNTXAZP assigns 255.
     * For SIMULATED_CPU_SPEED, the correct MAX VALUE is NONE but
       DSNTXAZP assigns 2147483647.

Problem conclusion

  • In response, this APAR modifies DSNTXAZP so that it will assign
the correct MAX VALUE of NONE to the DSNTIDxx entries for
    SIMULATED_CPU_COUNT and SIMULATED_CPU_SPEED.
