Error description

  • CSQX548E xxxx CSQXRCTL Messages sent to local dead-letter
    queue, channel xxxxxxxxxx reason=271
CSQM111E: CSQMPRUM COULD NOT PUT TO THE DEAD QUEUE, MQRC=2141

CSQMIGQA in CSQ2 has taken a message off the
SYSTEM.QSG.TRANSMIT.QUEUE which has been put by CSQ1.
This message is invalid in that it does not contain an XQH.
CSQMIGQA has detected this problem and has invoked CSQMPRUM to
put the message to the dead-letter queue. CSQMPRUM has built a
MQDLH and has set CodedCharSetId = MQCCSI_Q_MGR (0). This is
an invalid value in this situation, and hence the MQRC 2141
has been set. It looks like CSQMPRUM should be setting
    CodedCharSetId to MQCCSI_INHERIT.
This APAR will not fix the invalid XQH which has led to the
message being dead-lettered in the first place. In order to
determine the cause service will need joblog and the archive
    logs during the error period.

Local fix

  • Disable IGQ agent for all queue managers in the QSG.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The Intra-Group Queuing Agent CSQMIGQA has taken a message off
the SYSTEM.QSG.TRANSMIT.QUEUE. The message is invalid in that it
does not start with an XQH. CSQMIGQA has detected this problem
and has invoked CSQMPRUM to put the message to the dead-letter
queue. CSQMPRUM has built a MQDLH and has set CodedCharSetId to
MQCCSI_Q_MGR (0). This is an invalid value in this situation,
and hence the MQRC 2141 has been returned, resulting in the
CSQM111E error message (if the message is persistent).
Note that in the absence on an XQH it is possible that
persistence is incorrectly resolved to non-persistent and
    the message may be lost.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQMPRUM has been changed so that the DLH CCSID is set to the
MQMD's CCSID. Also persistence is calculated from the MQMD.
