Error description

  • ITCAM for Application Diagnostics
    Managing Server, Version 7.1, Fix Pack 3, Interim Fix 7
    
    After Managing Server is upgraded to 7.1 FP3IF7 level,
    the Windows service for Managing Server crashes within few
    minutes after being started.
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Install Managing Server 7.1.
    2) Install FP3, IF5 (7.1.0.3-TIV-ITCAMAD_MS-IF0003).
    3) Confirm that the 'ITCAM for WebSphere - Managing Server'
    service starts the managing server processes. Use the task
    manager to check that service process itcam.exe is running, and
    that it stays up.
    4) Apply FP3, IF7. Restart the Managing Server Windows service.
    Watch the itcam.exe process in the task manager.
    
    Result: itcam.exe process ends within few minutes.
    
    Logs:
    In the Windows System Event logs, you may find following errors:
    The ITCAM for WebSphere - Managing Server service terminated
    unexpectedly.
    
    Workaround: None.
